Some Small Changes

You may have noticed a few slight changes to the appearance of the site. These changes are mostly updated graphics and menus to give the site a slightly more polished look. There will be a few more changes in the coming days. Nothing serious, but hopefully they will increase the functionality of the site. Critical-Film.com's main menu system was a cluttered mess of unused links. the menu is far more friendly, and visually appealing. The available links have been whittled down to two, and will b… Continue

August 2nd, '08

I've got a lot of interesting things to comment on today. I'm trying to make this a semi-regular thing, because it is a valuable tool in conveying some thoughts that Scott and I may not be able to put across, through the site's regular content. First of all, in Critical-Film news. As you all know (because I haven't been able to shut up about it) Scott and I will be representing Critical-Film.com at the Freakshow Horror Film Festival / Screamfest in Orlando, Florida this October. We'll be bumpin… Continue

I finally understand...

The purpose of a blog is to provide an insight or unique perspective on something that may not necessarily fit within the traditional format of Critical-film.com. So my blog posts will be a little different than what I'm used to writing. My Blogs will be slightly more akin to Scott's in their content, and will hopefully provide a little more depth to the site. That being said, there is one topic in particular, I feel the need to comment on. That topic is the current state of television broadcas… Continue

"Spaced" on DVD

My internet connection has been down for the past week, so I've been unable to post any updated reviews (although that problem should be fixed very shortly). However, the British sitcom that launched the careers of Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg, and Nick Frost, arrived on DVD in North America yesterday. I encourage anyone who is a fan of genuinely original comedy television to pick it up, because it is nothing short of brilliant. Expect a new review or two in the next day or two, as soon as my intene… Continue

Things are still happening...

As it's been a while with nary an update (with the exception of a simplistic blog or two), I'm currently getting Scott's review of "Stuck" posted, as well as my review of the abomination that was "The Love Guru". That being said, I've been progressively trying to get through the Jeremy Sisto flick, "Paranoia 1.0"... What a terrible title for a seemingly interesting film. The only problem is, as I find it terribly uninteresting to just lay down, close my eyes, and sleep at night, I've been watch… Continue

yah it should be a good time.
Alberta seems to be getting a little bit more film every year and I think I need to be there to get a head start and an easier one at that....it won't be as saturated with special fx artists so I should have a good fighting chance!
I'm down for anything J I'm building my resume and portfolio and trying to get my hours for IATSE and I need 90 days with 6 different directors soo anything is helpful no matter how little my part may be!
