Godzilla totally rules. I can't wait for Godzilla 3D to the Max....whenever they decide to finally release it. Speaking of G.I.N.O (godzilla in name only) I think its safe to add another movie to my list of "Films I Wouldn't Have Paid To See... A...

It took you 10 years to see the American "Godzilla"? What the hell is wrong with you... That was a pretty big movie. Actually I'm being completely facetious, because deep down, I understand that your life would actually be more complete had you no...

Ugh. I watched the '98 Godzilla for the first time (start to finish) a few weeks ago, and I remember thinking, "What kind of JUNK is this?!" Sure, the acting was bad in the old Japanese movies...but at least there was a reason for that. And this m...

Some interesting feedback.

First of all I'd like to thank Wesley Dugle, who's been kind enough to post his reviews to Critical-Film.com, two reviews so far, Terminator Salvation, and X-Men Origins: Wolverine. It's great for me because it gives me a little more time to rework the site from head to toe (a pretty big project, that's probably going to take me a few more weeks to finish). It's necessary though, the site, when all is said and done, should be more visitor friendly, search engine friendly, and allow for more easi… Continue

"Star Trek" 2009 review.

Before I get to the review, I'd first like to apologize to anyone who received a wall post from Elnora Guy (or something similar to that), this person signed up to the site and posted on everyone's wall linking to an adult webcam site, so as a result I banned them from the network, and all their posts were deleted. So, that's why you all received post notifications and there was nothing there. Sorry about that. Anyway, on to the review.

"Shadowland" quote... and some other things

First of all I'd like to congratulate Wyatt Weed and Pirate Pictures on their theatrical release of "Shadowland". It's a limited release, but a release nonetheless. I'm sure it will lead to more. I'd also like to thank Wyatt for emailing me a pic of the "Shadowland" page taken from the theater schedule at which "Shadowland is playing. It's significant to me because, well a quote from my review is at the bottom left of the page. Check it out below...

Some things are coming along.

First of all I'd like to extend a few thanks to some friends of Critical-Film.com.

First, George Clarke (director of "Battle of the Bone"), who we met at last year's Freakshow Film Festival. George has been busy as hell working on a number of projects, and promoting the first annual Yellow Fever International Film Festival in Northern Ireland this August. George recently did an article for Culture Northern Ireland and… Continue

A few small graphical changes.

I took a few minutes and updated the graphics on the site, as you can see, a new header image, as well as new images for users with no pictures... little stuff like that.

You Likey?

Hello mate, glad you like the stills - thanks! Yeah, we have over half of it done and it could be complete by end of weekend. Roddy (our sfx guy) just does a few hours a day and we are working on sound as we go along. All in all, we could win that trip to the EA HQ in San Fran after-all!! You can see more stills at the myspace :-) Talk soon!

Everyone is nice when they are pluging something. I got that video footage for friend of mine that wants to go to his school, that he only over see's and doesn't even teach at. I've heard tons of stories (beyond my own expirence, well you were there...) of him being a rude prick. Malcom However... I think you'd have to know him to get him and that with him seems in good in fun, Alesandre asked him a question at the Q&A and he was Brash and sweet if that makes any sence at all? It was great at the Q&A if some asked a dumb question he'd point out "Oh, I havn't fucking heard that 87 milion fucking times before" but he could say it in a way that would the room laugh and not go "What a jerk." There is always next year... I'm sure you'l be working with him before me anyway.

Hey Jason,

Thanks for droppin' by and saying hello... Thanks also for visiting the page and taking time to look at the two covers. Yeah, I'm totally convinced that the producers released the film with the intention of it failing... I'm guessing for a tax write off because nothing else would explain their actions. The cover thing was mystifying (and cost us a spot on the shelves of Best Buy which was seriously depressing) but after the flick came out and scored some surprisingly good reviews, they totally dropped all advertising and basically just buried it. An odd experience to say the least.

Ah the world of no budget indie film-making... :-)
