Blog

I’m staring at this word processor screen feeling completely blank.

It’s not as though I believe that I have nothing to say. I’ve been in a fair amount of emotional flux of late; there are things happening in life. But I don’t know how to express any of it.

I think maybe I’ve become to accustomed to writing out my cynicisms, fears, and personal triumphs into the words and situations of characters in my creative writing. It’s where a lot of me is going right now (one of the afore mentioned “thi… Continue

Christopher Doyle

Does anyone here remember when this guy used to be a marketing tool all by himself for fans of the indie scene? I seem to recall the poster of a film called “The Last Life in the Universe” (from Thailand?) touting Doyle as the cinematographer… Like he was the star of the movie somehow.

The purpose, aside from being able to express things that I normally never get a chance to, is actually practical. The better you know who I am, the more accurately you can j… Continue

I Had this Dream Last Night

I’ll do my best to describe it. It’s not very long.

I’m sitting on a couch watching television and in between programs (I know nothing of either one); there is an animated Canadian short. For those of you unfamiliar with what this entails, I offer the following:

Back From Orlando

Hey everyone. A little inactivity on the site as we recover from our trip to the Freakshow Film Festival, but I assure all we are finally back into full swing. No rest for the relativity mild, I suppose.

Jason and I are in the midst of reviewing every film we screened at the festival (many of which have yet to be picked up, which is only a matter of time for some of them, as the event was chock-full of great flicks).

George Clark's "Battle of the Bone" won the Audience Choice award, and was ex… Continue
